Why you should attend:

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are gaining rapidly in worldwide acceptance. Th  process of EU conversion is completed, with Canada and others right behind. It is also common knowledge that the future of financial reporting in the U.S. is aligned with the convergence of US GAAP and IFRS. To plan properly for the future, reporting companies need answers to the following questions:

  • How much influence will US GAAP have on IFRS and vice versa?

  • What are the significant differences between US GAAP and IFRS?

  • Which differences will be resolved in the near future, and how?

  • What is the long-term outlook for IFRS?

This one-day boot camp on IFRS will assume an intermediate knowledge of US GAAP, and move rapidly to the key issues in the application of IFRS.

Key topics include:

  • Key Income Statement Issues

  • Operating Assets

  • Liabilities

  • Financial Instruments, Derivatives and Hedging

  • Intercorporate investments, business combinations and consolidation
